Get the indulgent taste of pecan pie in an easy bar cookie with a chocolate chip bonus.

Ingredients

    cups Original Bisquick™ mix

  • 1

    cup powdered sugar

  • 1/4

    cup firm butter or margarine

  • 4

    eggs, beaten

  • 1

    cup dark corn syrup

  • 1/4

    cup butter or margarine, melted, cooled

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

  • 1

    cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)

  • 1 1/2

    cups chopped pecans (6 oz)

    Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix and powdered sugar. Cut in firm butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until crumbly. Press firmly in bottom of 13×9-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes; cool.

    In large bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla with spoon until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour over crust.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and set. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until chocolate is firm. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.
