Recipe Tips
-
tip 1
Cooking gluten free? Always read labels to make sure each recipe ingredient is gluten free. Products and ingredient sources can change.
-
tip 2
Take your biscuits up a notch by giving them a delectable buttery finish. Brush melted, unsalted butter on your biscuits just as they come out of the oven.
-
tip 3
Biscuits respond well to cold fats. Try keeping your shortening in the fridge before you are ready to make your dough to bake a lighter, flakier biscuit.
-
tip 4
Turn these gluten-free biscuits into a breakfast you can enjoy on the go! To assemble, cut a biscuit in half, then fill with your favorite gluten-free breakfast ingredients such as a fried egg, cooked gluten-free bacon or sausage or a slice of gluten-free cheese. Make a few breakfast sandwiches at a time, then wrap them tightly in aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator for up to five days to enjoy breakfast for the week ahead. When you’re ready to enjoy your premade breakfast sandwiches, simply reheat in the microwave or oven.
